Raman spectroscopy coupled with chemometric modeling approaches for authentication of different paprika varieties at physiological maturity

چکیده

Five Balkan paprika varieties at physiological maturity were investigated by means of Raman spectroscopy in order to discriminate the differences which stemmed from their genetic variability since plants grown under same experimental conditions. The spectra obtained using 532 nm wavelength. In an effort find best classification power, several pre-processing methods applied: 1) baseline correction, unit vector normalization; 2) normalization and first Savitzky-Golay derivative; 3) second 4) third derivative. All followed making PCA-LDA (Principal Component Analysis-Linear Discriminant Analysis), QDA (Quadratic PLS-DA (Partial Least Square - Analysis) models. showed discrimination power (83.87–100% 89.47–100% for training test data, respectively), then (0.00–100 0.00–100% respectively) (19.35–100% 0.00–100.00% respectively). results pointed out applicability chemometric modeling associated with assessment nutritionally similar samples, such as studied red varieties. • coupled chemometrics can be used a tool different Principal component analysis quadratic discriminant performance. Partial least square lowest power.

Classification of frankfurters by FT-Raman spectroscopy and chemometric methods.

Frankfurters are widely consumed all over the world, and the production requires a wide range of meat and non-meat ingredients. Due to these characteristics, frankfurters are products that can be easily adulterated with lower value meats, and the presence of undeclared species. Adulterations are often still difficult to detect, due the fact that the adulterant components are usually very simila...
